Bonnielynn Brankey

At the age of 37, I decided to finish college, directing my studies towards art.  At one low point of trying to run a household with two active boys, hold a job to pay for my schooling and do homework until all hours of the night, my husband bought me the movie, "Flashdance" and told me to watch it.  It became the 'drive' that I needed to complete the tasks at hand.

I will not bore you with a biography of my life and tell you how "I have always wanted to do art."  You can see for yourself that art is a passion to me, whether it is painting a picture, a mural or my living room walls!

My need to express the wonders of the marine life I see on scuba diving
trips is what inspires me to create emotional oil and watercolor paintings.

Underwater photography of the marine life and quick ink sketches after
dive trips are later transferred to larger paintings in my studio.
I believe 'style' is a relative term and I have developed one which allows
me to most freely "recreate" the underwater world and the marine life I
love.

Come with me now on a trip under the sea.

Come with me.....see the world through my diving mask.
